Canada's men's and women's teams will be competing in Lillehammer Norway this weekend, site of the 1994 Winter Olympic Games.
The
Ladies will be starting their third World Cup season, the team consisting of
National Team members Taylor Henrich and Atsuko Tanaka. They will be joined by
Jasmine Sepandj and Raven Yip of the provincial team, both will be looking
forward to their first WC start. Alexandra Pretorius is still recovering
from her knee injury, she took her first jumps last week in Calgary
ahead of schedule and will be easing into the competition season in early January.
The men
will be looking forward to Lillehammer after a windy competition in Kuusamo that
saw frequent delays and cancellations. Canada will be represented by
mainstay Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes and new comer Dusty Korek.
The
weekend kicks off with men's HS100 qualifying on Friday followed by the mixed
team competition, Henrich, Tanaka, Boyd-Clowes and Korek will be looking to
duplicate MT success from this summer.
