Mixed Team Competition - Saturday
Team Canada comprised of Atsuko Tanaka, Dusty Korek, Alexandra Pretorius and Mackenzie Boyd-Clowes finished the Mixed Team Competition in fourth place with a total of 868.7 points, 4.6 points behind the Germans in 3rd. Japan (907.6 points) took top honors, Slovenia (883.6 points) finished second, leap frogging from 4th to 2nd in the final round. Canada was in a podium position for the majority of the competition but could not hang on in the final round of jumpers, coach Linsig explains it was a simple case of bad luck, in the entire competition three jumps were subject to tail wind, oddly enough it was Tanaka's second jump and both of Boyd-Clowes' competitive jumps. Linsig said third and second spots were up for grabs but he is proud of what his team achieved.
Alexandra followed her win on Friday with another dominating performance in the team comp, she was the top female competitor in the field with 242.2 points and jumps of 102.5 and 105.5, tying Takanashi for long ride of the day.
